Did you know, according to a study done by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2007, that moms across the globe may stop breastfeeding due to their perceived low milk supply? Also, did you know that the highest rates of stopping breastfeeding occur during the first few weeks after baby is born? Low milk supply is a real concern among mothers all around the world. In this article, I will teach you how you can naturally boost your milk supply. I will also teach you the cues your baby will give you that they are getting plenty of your milk to drink! With these two skills under your belt, you can be confident in both your productivity and bringing satisfaction to your baby.
My Story
I really struggled with low milk supply while I was nursing my first daughter. My husband and I were in a state of life of a lot of uncertainty and instability. Due to our live circumstances, I was overly stressed and not sleeping well. It definitely hurt my milk supply!
Thankfully, I was able to boost my milk production from only producing 1 ounce of milk (that’s after pumping on both sides) to 4 ounces of milk! It increased from there as my baby grew and needed more milk.
I share with you how I was able to do this in my free class listed above! Fill out the form to watch the free class and learn the 3 secrets that can help you boost your milk supply as well!

Milk Bliss
I want to introduce you to something that also help boost my milk supply within 24 hours! It’s called Milk Bliss.
What is Milk Bliss? They are a USA based company that make tasty desserts, cookie mixes and a Lactation Boosting powder that have worked for lots of moms in naturally boosting their milk supply! How much more milk do they help you produce? They help mothers produce about 2-4 ounces MORE milk per feeding! That’s incredible!
The ingredients they include in their products that work to boost milk supply are galactagogues. That’s a fancy word that simply means foods that boost milk supply.
Why You’ll Love Them
- Made in USA
- Loaded with galactagogues!
- Helps you produce 2-4 more ounces per feed!!
- Tastes amazing!
- Brings real results!
Milk Bliss has mixes and ready-to-eat cookies that are loaded with galactagogues! Mothers love this product because it is made in the USA, naturally boosts milk supply, and really works!
“What if I have a dairy-sensitive baby?”
Mothers who have dairy-sensitive babies may not be interested in purchasing the ready-to-eat cookies or mixes by Milk Bliss. I understand! My daughter was super dairy sensitive, and after 2 years of age is still struggling with dairy sensitivity!
A good alternative for mothers and babies in this boat is the Lactation Booster powder. This is a cooking powder that still holds all of the milk-boosting nutrients as the cookies, only without the dairy!
What is nice about this powder is that you can literally add it to ANY food, dish or drink you like! You can put it in a smoothie, soup, home made bread, or any other foods you enjoy.

How Do I Know My Baby Is Well Fed?
There are basic cues your baby and your body will give you that your baby is getting enough milk per feeding. We will briefly go over these below.
Baby Ends Feeding And Appears Content or “Milk Drunk”
While your baby breastfeeds, you will notice that towards the beginning of the feeding, they may be gulping down your milk like crazy! As your baby’s stomach gets full, he/she may swallow less frequently and slow down in the feeding. When they are all finished, they will let go of your breast by themselves.
Now what you want to look for in your baby is a content state. Are they asleep? Do they appear “milk drunk” – super relaxed and possibly limp? If so, this is a good sign their stomachs are full and happy!
Do Your Breasts Feel Fully Drained Or Empty?
Another good sign that your baby is getting enough to drink per feeding is how your breasts feel at the beginning and end of each feeding.
At the beginning of your feeding, your breasts may be clearly full of milk. By the end, do they feel completely emptied or are they still full feeling? If your breasts still feel full and/or your baby is fussy and not content at the end of the feeding, then they may not be getting the milk they need.
Possibilities for baby fussiness mid feeding include:
- Needing to be burped
- Frustrated at the slow flow of milk (possibly from becoming used to the ease of a bottle)
- Mama’s milk tastes different due to something she ate
- Baby has a cold and has a hard time latching on
- Baby is over hungry and super fussy to get to latch on and stay latched well
Number Of Wet Diapers Per Day
Another great indication if your baby is getting enough to drink per feeding is the number of wet and dirty diapers they are producing per day.
The number of wet/dirty diapers they will produce each day will be different depending on how old your baby is.
If your baby is older than 6 days old, he/she should be having 6-8 wet diapers per day, with maybe one poop per day. This is also true for formula fed babies.
These three aspects combined will give you a good indication as to whether your baby is getting enough milk per feeding or not.
As always, if you are concerned about your baby’s weight gain or health in any way, be sure to contact their pediatrician!
